Empowering the Self-Employed for Tax Season with Automated 1099 e-Filing and Online Communities

Helping entrepreneurs control their fate this taxseason, we’re launching RightTaxesNow.com, a dedicated website with tax advice and online petitions to demand legislative support of small business tax-relief. We’re excited to announce that the site accompanies the release of a fully online and automated 1099 e-filing service.

The growing unemployment rate has forced more people than historically the case to start their own business. As a result, millions of entrepreneurs are preparing to file business taxes for the first time. With new tax tips, tax preparation tools, a community of experts to help with any number of small business issues, and a new role as an advocate for self-employed business owners who lack a strong voice in the government, hopefully we’re helping.

Right Taxes Now!

RightTaxesNow.com, was created to highlight great tax advice while raising awareness about confusing deductions and IRS forms and requirements. Calling attention to pending tax relief legislation, the site gives you the opportunity to get involved in legislation that will keep the money you worked so hard to earn. We’re tackling such issues as the complexity and anxiety of home office deductions and rallying merchants, sellers, and affiliate marketers against state so-called Amazon Taxes affecting OUR users from Etsy, eBay, Amazon, and Commission Junction. Let’s have a little fun, but also call out members of Congress who have inhibited the passage of important small business-related legislation, and ask everyone try to force the hand of their representatives.

The site was launched in partnership with Get Satisfaction, the revolutionary customer service platform which integrates crowdsourcing and community features into a customer service experience that fosters feedback. The integration of Get Satisfaction’s technology enables RightTaxesNow.com to receive feedback from the more than 20 million self-employed workers in the nation.

On January 18th, Wendy Lea, CEO of Get Satisfaction, spoke on a panel before President Obama to address how the government can learn from the private sector to leverage technology to improve customer service and streamline processes across the federal government.

“We’re combining Outright’s expertise in business financial management with our communication-enabling technology to foster new ideas and communication among the ever-growing numbers of self-employed workers so they can better manage their finances and influence the legislators who ultimately will impact the bottom line of their business,” said Wendy Lea, CEO of Get Satisfaction.

e-File 1099s with New Tax Filing Services

As you gear up for tax season, we’ve added an automated 1099 service, supporting the great majority of our users earning a livelihood with contractors. We’ve replaced the need for business owners to painstakingly file 1099’s manually with a service that automatically tracks down W-9 information (you only need to supply contractor contact information), to prepare IRS form 1099-MISC, which then gets directly filed with the IRS for a flat $5 fee.
