Outright’s Community is expanding and we’re looking to bring even more great content to our community of small business owners and sole-proprietors! We’re searching for three bloggers. Are you one of the bloggers we're looking for? Be sure to read all the details before applying.
The Positions:
The Business of Web Development (or Programming) Blogger – Outright is seeking someone who has owned or operated a web development or programming business to blog about the business side of the industry. The blogger will write 2-3 posts per week about taxes, bookkeeping, licenses, permits, marketing, sales, etc. as it pertains to owning a web development or programming business. (Yes! Freelancing counts as owning a business.)
The Business of Law, Law Firms or Legal Businesses Blogger – Outright is seeking someone who has owned or operated a law firm or other legal business to write about the business side of the legal industry. The law blogger will write 2-3 posts per week about taxes, bookkeeping, licenses, permits, marketing, sales, etc. as it pertains to owning a business in the legal field.
Etsy Store Blogger – Outright is seeking someone who currently owns and operates an Etsy store to contribute to our Stores Blog. The Etsy blogger will write 2-3 posts per week about taxes, bookkeeping, licenses, permits, marketing, sales, etc. as it pertains to owning and operating a successful Etsy business.
All Bloggers Should:
Have owned or operated their business in the United States (Outright is currently U.S. focused and you’ll be writing about U.S. specific issues like taxes and laws)
Be familiar with Wordpress
Ideally, candidates will be familiar with SEO and writing in the blog format
Other Important Details:
Pay is by the word and based on experience
Bloggers can work from anywhere
To Apply:
Fill out the Contribute to Outright.com form with a short cover letter about why you would be the perfect fit for one of these positions. Include links to at least two writing samples. Be sure to indicate which position you are applying for!
(Sadly, if you’ve never owned or operated a business, these positions are not a fit. There’s another position out there that is, though, and good luck in your continued search!)
