Outright named to AlwaysOn Global 250

Borrowing from underground blogging and social networking traditions, AlwaysOn launched in 2003 as a leader in the “open media” revolution. The network’s content focuses on the sweet spots in the technology markets; where innovation is disrupting the norm and creating new business.

AlwaysOn Global 250For six years, AlwaysOn featured an annual 100; their list of the hottest, most disrupting private companies in technology. Last year, the growth of the startup community prompted an expansion of the list and scope to what's now known as the "AO Global 250."

"With the 2009 AO 250, we sought to find the companies upon which new industries, jobs, and economies will be built. Yes, each company in its own way brings enhanced efficiencies (the gentler form of creative destruction). But more importantly, the companies represented in this list bring hope. No industry can produce jobs, wealth, and economic momentum like the technology industry."

Not just excited to be recognized, we're overwhelmed to be in such great company. Last year's overall winner? Twitter, with notables like Etsy, Fixya, Spicewoks, and Facebook amongst the 250. With attention this year to businesses fostering new jobs and industries, Outright calls overall winner Quantcast company, and shares the list with Mint, Expensify, Tesla Motors, The Rubicon Project, Digger, and ReachLocal.

Congratulations to all the winners and good luck!  We'll see you at the finish line.
