With Estimated Taxes behind us we thought we'd share a brief reprieve, along with our excitement for our new office in downtown Campbell. Just a few weeks ago, we moved to a beautiful, historic building on E. Campbell Ave. with tremendous character both inside and out.
Campbell is a wonderful home for an entrepreneur, with quiet streets throughout the day, bustling nightlife to spin those social wheels at happy hour or dinner, and minutes in the car or nearby light rail to the heart of silicon valley, where countless businesses and startups build empires from their home in the Bay Area.
On the top floor of our new home, we share offices with Shannon Montez, with whom, in the spirit of the best entrepreneurs, we share resources like internet connectivity and kitchen supplies. Shannon is perhaps one of the best candid, family photographers with a website as beautiful as her work. I'd share a photo, but a single shot wouldn't do her justice without the forum in which to grasp the creativity and impression she brings to her work; that which you get when you visit shannonmontez.com
Out our window, at 384 E. Campbell Ave, is Olio, one of the finest Mediterranean restaurants in the south Bay. I had the pleasure of dinner with some friends there the other night and if you have a chance, say hello to proprietor Merle Haughey; her passion for her foodies in unparalleled and readily apparent in their service and food. Next door, Bruni Sablan hosts a fantastic, jazz inspired gallery of her work; having grown up with both music and art in her life, you can feel the emotion and melody in her sketches and available lithographs.
Turn around from there and meet our new neighbors, with boutique salon Villa de style and a fabulous spot for unique home decor, Embellished, directly beneath our office. Popular clothing shop Ayla, and original arts gallery, Terra Polaris, our immediate neighbors, offer exclusive shopping experiences. Around the corner, say hello to Rockie Arambula at Moonfyre Metaphysical, which offers a variety of Holistic Healing Methods, and the faculty of the Yogic Medicine Institute who are helping Campbell residents use their mind and body to their fullest potential.
Of course, in a great town like Campbell, we've a series of haunts. Waking up with Orchard Valley Coffee is must in our office and if in need of a real pick-me-up, the nurse (yes nurse!) at Psycho Donuts sets us up with dangerously good Apricotology and Fung Shui donuts. Lunch is covered by a great variety of choices but Sal's Pizza, a franchise all the way from Boston, and Dominique Faury's American food with French Twist at the aptly named, Twist, are clear favorites. As we wrap up the day, Katie Bloom's welcomes us with open arms, a cold pint, and a turn at the microphone on Karaoke night.
This couldn't be a better home for Outright. The Campbell Chamber of Commerce hosts a series of events right outside our door while fostering retailers, restaurateurs, small businesses owners, and entrepreneurs such as ourselves. And we're excited to see ongoing growth and development of the neighborhood as we bring people to work with us and for our neighbors.
